Third-grade Laurel Burch pattern cats

Third Grade artists learned about the life and art of Laurel Burch. They learned about how she had the bone disease osteopetrosis, had more than 100 bone breaks in her life, how she made jewelry out of metal trash that she pounded with a hammer in her kitchen pots, and how even though she had a very hard life, she didn't make her artwork about complaining, but instead about sharing JOY with others!

Lesson Objectives:
I can learn about the art and life of Laurel Burch
I can list 3 of my favorite facts about her on the back of my artwork
I can draw a colorful cat in her style
I can use patterns in a creative way
