4th grade artists are learning about the contemporary artist
Heather Galler, Folk Art, and Landscapes. We created our own landscapes in the
patterned style of Galler. We also considered our use of color and thought about how to create line, shape and color patterns.
These are incredible. Wow!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI came accross your blog by chance, when I notice a paining by Heather Galler, and I decided to Google it. I was interested to see an image of a young lady creating some lovely trees and wondered whether this was Heather. So I clicked on and entered your blog. Wow! I am so impressed. I love the vibrancy and joy that is coming from the pages. I can see all the students really enjoying themselves and it's nice to read what they have to say about it. Whenever I come accross great sights like these I often find they arein the US. I don't come accross many in the UK where I live. Well... Keep up the good work and I hope you all have a lovely life.
ReplyDeleteKind Regards
Dorothy

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for contacting us! It is fun to know that you found us and are interested in how kids are being inspired by contemporary artists. I am curious what Heather thinks of having so many young minds being shaped by her creativity. The kids would be so tickled to get to hear from her! Thank you for checking out our work!
DeleteI just love what you did with the kids. You inspired me and I'm going to have my kids do something similar in september. I'm a primary school teacher in France and I translated your slide show in French for my students. Would you like me to send it to you ? Would you agree if I published it on my teaching blog for other french teachers to be inspired ? I would of course link my article to yours if you agreed. Have a nice day, Elise
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU so much for your kind words. Of course you can use and re-publish the slide show. I am honored that you would like to! That's why I uploaded it and will try to do more in the future. Best wishes to you! :)
