Spring time roll a flower first grade

First graders are practicing floral landscapes and even using a little bit of chance! We roll the dice to figure out which flower parts to draw. We made sure to use lines, patterns, and creativity! These "Roll-A" sheets can be found at this web site: http://expressivemonkey.com/collections/flowers/products/drawing-flowers

  1. Hello! I just found your blog today and it is AMAZING! Although I am not an art teacher, I love doing art with my two children. :)

Where did you find the directions for this activity? Did you make them yourself?

  2. Beautiful! I love it too and would love the template for the roll and draw. I teach first grade and the kids would love this for an end of year project.
    Thank you

  4. Hey! I just came across your blog online and was tickled to see you are a fellow Calvin Alum teaching Art. You share some fantastic ideas here on your blog. Thank you! Are you also on Artsonia? I am starting year 10 at my current school and all success I have as an art teacher I credit to Calvin's art ed program! :) Nice to meet you in cyberspace. :) -christine Patete

    1. Nice to meet you as well! Sorry for the delay! :) Yes, Calvin rocks. Did you have JoAnn Van Reewyk as a professor? She was amazing.

We do not currently do Artsonia but do Square 1 instead.

      Best wishes to you!

  8. I ran across one of your pictures on Pinterest. It's so fun to find people that like using my drawing games and your students' flowers are wonderful! I've got a new website that has even more drawing activities to choose from. Here is where you can find the Wild Flowers along with a couple of other flower drawing pages. http://expressivemonkey.com/collections/flowers/products/drawing-flowers
